CSAC Finance Corporation Announces New U.S. Communities Contracts

January 26, 2 017

Did you know that there are almost 40 contracts currently available through the U.S. Communities Purchasing program? On average, California counties utilize only two contracts per county; leaving significant savings that counties can realize by utilizing more of the supplier contracts. This no-cost program is available to all counties, cities, special districts, and non-profits, and offers the lowest local government pricing on all contract items. As the offerings on U.S. Communities are constantly evolving, we are pleased to announce three new/renewed contracts!

Rehrig Pacific Company has been awarded a multi-year contract to provide waste carts, recycling carts and related products and services. This contract was awarded through a competitive solicitation process conducted by the lead public agency, Miami-Dade County, Florida. Through this contract, agencies will have access to durable products at a competitive price. Rehrig Pacific uses a consultative approach to identify how they can best serve your communities, integrate technology to eliminate waste and enhance the customer’s experience, and provide simple and easy to implement solutions with a focus on sustainability. For additional information, contact Rehrig or view a recorded webinar of their contract offerings.

Our partnership with Advance Auto Parts through the award of the
U.S. Communities auto parts and accessories contract has been continued. This exclusive contract was awarded by lead public agency, City of Charlotte, North Carolina. “As part of the competitive re-solicitation, Advance was selected based on their proposal which offered a great value and the most advantageous solution for public agencies to procure quality automotive products and services at competitive prices,” said Karen Ewing, Deputy Chief Procurement Officer for the City of Charlotte, North Carolina. Start ordering with this new contract to take advantage of 600,000 products with competitive pricing that includes tiered volume discounts. To learn more, register for a complimentary 30-minute webinar which are being held January 24th and 25th. If you are unable to attend one of the webinars, contact us for additional information.

A dual award has been made for the new staffing services and solutions contract. This contract was awarded to Acro Service Corporation and Knowledge Services through a competitive solicitation process conducted by the lead public agency, Maricopa County, Arizona. This contract provides solutions for agencies to save on staffing services, but also on managed service provider solutions and services such as recruitment, payroll and temp-to-hire services. To learn more about each contract and the solutions available, register for a complimentary 30-minute webinar which are being held on February 8th and 9th. If you are unable to attend one of the webinar dates, contact Acro and/or Knowledge Services for additional information.

Acro Service Corporation provides temporary staffing services across a wide range of job categories at predetermined prices, and then streamlines managing multiple temporary staffing providers in a single point of contact through its Managed Service Provider (MSP) program. MSP services are typically only possible for large organizations, but Acro is offering this service for all U.S. Communities participants, no matter how small. Acro is also a diversity supplier and fills positions with talent in your local community.

Knowledge Services takes on the primary responsibilities for managing an agency’s workforce and temporary staffing process, vendors, and contractors. Knowledge Services provides a vendor-neutral solution which ensures all staffing partners receive the same requisitions simultaneously. The U.S.-based Knowledge Services MSP/VMS services allow public entities access to high-quality talent at the most competitive pricing in the industry. Knowledge Services understands the needs of public sector clients, embraces small/minority business initiatives and provides funding source reporting, among many other benefits.

U.S. Communities was founded by the CSAC Finance Corporation, CSAC, and the League of California Cities and is the leading national cooperative purchasing program that leverages the buying power of over 90,000 public agencies.
