CSAC Welcomes Jenny Tan to the Public Affairs and Member Services Team

After an exhaustive and competitive search, CSAC is excited to welcome Jenny Tan to the position of Senior Manager, Public Affairs and Member Services at CSAC. Jenny most recently served as Yolo County’s Public Information Officer and Communications Coordinator.

“From an impressive pool of applicants, Jenny provides the perfect combination of County experience, poise, and communication acumen that will help advance CSAC’s public affairs and member services to the next level,” said Manuel Rivas Jr., Deputy Executive Director of Public Affairs & Member Services. “We are very excited to have her join our already remarkable team.”

Jenny served as the lead Public Information Officer (PIO) for Yolo County’s COVID-19 response and wildfire mitigation and response, supervising a staff of 13 in the County Joint Information Center. She is well versed in social media strategies, increasing impressions and viewership on County media outlets and channels.  Prior to joining Yolo County, Jenny served as the PIO for Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from the University of California, Davis.

Jenny has received many accolades and recognitions including being named 2021 Woman of the Year for Yolo County by Senator Bill Dodd in honor of her exemplary service during the COVID-19 crisis, recognized as Top-40 public affairs professional in the 2021 ’40 Under 40 List’ by the National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics and Public Affairs, and honored as a 2020 Difference Maker by the Yolo County Board of Supervisors.

Jenny joins the CSAC Team to replace David Liebler, who has served as Director of Public Affairs and Member Services, as he retires on July 2.
