CSAC Welcomes Two New Supervisors
CSAC welcomes two new Supervisors to the County Family this week. Governor Jerry Brown announced appointments to fill vacancies on the Boards of Mendocino and Riverside Counties. See his news release here.
In Mendocino County, the Governor appointed Georgeanne Croskey of Willits to represent the Third District, which has been open since Supervisor Tom Woodhouse resigned in January for health reasons. Ms. Croskey is a veterinarian, and she will resign a position on the Board of the Willits Unified School District to begin serving as a County Supervisor.
In Riverside County, the Governor appointed V. Manny Perez of Coachella to represent the Fourth District, which has been vacant since Supervisor John Benoit passed away late last year. Mr. Perez is a former state Assemblyman and has been serving on the Coachella City Council.
CSAC congratulates Ms. Croskey and Mr. Perez, and we look forward to working with them.
