DHCS Webinar on the Role of ECM/ILOS Providers

August 19, 2021

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) invites stakeholders to a webinar on Wednesday, August 25 from 12 – 1:30 p.m. that will educate providers on the role of managed care plans and providers, provider expectations, and an overview of the payment process for the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) initiative, specifically for Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and In Lieu of Services (ILOS).

CalAIM consists of both federal waivers and state-only initiatives to simplify and streamline the Medi-Cal program, including county behavioral health, county social services functions, and initiatives focused on children, foster youth, and those who are homeless or incarcerated. The initiative proposes to provide more services and supports for patients with complex needs. Key goals of CalAIM include promoting whole person care, reducing program complexity, and modernizing systems.

The webinar will focus on opportunities for health and social service providers, counties, and organizations participating in a Whole Person Care (WPC) pilot or the Health Homes Program (HHP), that may be interested in becoming an ECM or ILOS provider. There will be information that can inform other providers that currently do not participate in WPC or HHP programs.

Date: Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 12 – 1:30 p.m.
