May 4, 2017
The Department of Housing and Community Development has released the draft guidelines for the No Place Like Home program—an opportunity for counties to apply for state funding to help find housing for the homeless mentally ill and other vulnerable populations. The Department is also hosting a series of five regional workshops on the draft guidelines. The first one, today, was held in Redding, Shasta County. Additional workshops will be held in Riverside, Alameda, and Tulare Counties over the next few weeks, capped off with a webinar. More information on the workshops is available here.
CSAC is currently working with the County Behavioral Health Directors of California, the Urban Counties of California, the Rural County Representatives of California to review the guidelines and provide feedback. CSAC looks forward to continuing to work with our affiliate organizations and the Department of Housing and Community Development as implementation of the No Place Like Home Program continues.
