New Report Pegs State Uninsured at Nearly Seven Million

The California Health Care Foundation (CHCF) released a report this week as part of its Almanac project finding that California still has the highest percentage of uninsured individuals of any state in the nation.

The CHCF report, titled California’s Uninsured, finds that nearly one in four workers is uninsured and pegs the overall number of uninsured persons in California at 6.9 million. The report was released as part of the CHCF’s Health Care Almanac, which is an online resource of key data and analysis of the health care marketplace in California.
