Housing and Community Development Accepting Comments on No Place Like Home Draft Framing Paper

The Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) released a Draft Framing Paper for the No Place Like Home Program in December and will accept public comments on it until January 31. Along with the Draft Framing Paper, HCD has been hosting a series of workshops to discuss the No Place Like Home Program.

Comments on the draft can be submitted to NPLH@hcd.ca.gov, and, there are still two workshops scheduled this month:

• January 24 in Fresno
• January 26 via webinar

Health and Human Services Policy Committee Meets Jan. 25

The CSAC Health and Human Services (HHS) Policy Committee will meet January 25 to continue a discussion on Platform Updates. CSAC staff will also provide an update on the state budget and the Affordable Care Act.

During Annual Meeting in December, the HHS Policy Committee reviewed proposed platform changes to the HHS and Realignment chapters of the CSAC Policy Platform. However, the Committee asked staff to undertake another round of edits to incorporate the uncertainty at the federal level regarding the Affordable Care Act. On the January 25, the HHS Policy Committee will review the updated drafts of these platforms chapters that incorporate those edits. Visit CSAC’s HHS web pages for more information.
