The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has released a
funding
application for the Healthy Brain Initiative.
The new funding is for local health jurisdictions to build their
capacity to promote cognitive health, with the purpose of
improving early intervention and timely diagnosis using
successful public health approaches. The one-time, $4.5 million
allocation will be awarded to a total of six local health
jurisdictions over three consecutive fiscal years. Each county
will be allocated $750,000.

Applications are due Monday, January 6, 2020 by 4:00 PM
(PST).
Interested local health jurisdictions are invited to attend
an informational webinar on Thursday, December 5,
2019, and local health jurisdictions can submit
application questions to be addressed via the webinar
through Friday, November 15, 2019.
