New Hotline Available to Help Vulnerable Californians During Power Shutoffs

As utility-initiated Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) continue to impact residents across California, the California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS) has established a resource website, a nonemergency hotline, and PSPS resource guide for counties and communities during power shutoffs.

- This comprehensive site provides links and resources across all of the different state agencies and departments that are assisting Californians during PSPS and wildfire events.
- HHS Hotline (833) 284-3473 –
- This nonemergency hotline was established by CHHS to help medically vulnerable individuals and health and community care facilities find resources during PSPS events.
- PSPS Resource Guide –
- This resource guide provides a list of CHHS Agency tools and resources available to assist vulnerable Californians during PSPS events.
CSAC continues to be actively engaged in conversations with CHHS to ensure vulnerable populations receive the resources they need.
