Today, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) released the
first monthly “Mental Health for All” newsletter. Each month,
California agencies and departments will share updates on
implementation efforts of Proposition 1, which DHCS has named the
Behavioral
Health Transformation. The newsletters will contain updates
such as grant announcements, upcoming events, recorded trainings
and webinars, and updated resources. To subscribe to the

sign up here. Future updates on Behavioral Health
Transformation will also be posted to the Mental Health for All and
CSAC webpage dedicated to
Proposition 1 information.
In addition, DHCS will be hosting a public listening session
webinar on July 30, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
This listening session, which is part of a series, will focus on
substance use disorder (SUD) services under the Behavioral Health
Services Act. DHCS will provide an overview of SUD services under
the Act, and participants are encouraged to comment on the
guidance DHCS is developing. Advanced registration is required.
