Recording Available: CSAC Hosted IHSS Training

November 10, 2021

On November 4, CSAC hosted an In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Training Webinar for county and public authority staff in partnership with the County Welfare Directors Association (CWDA) and the California Association of Public Authorities (CAPA). The training provided a refresher course on the revised IHSS Maintenance of Effort (MOE) that was enacted in 2019 and covered new wages, benefits, and collective bargaining provisions that were enacted by AB 135 (Chapter 85, Statutes of 2021) this year.

Below are links to the resources from the training that can also be found on CSAC’s webinar page – www.counties.org/csac-webinar-library:

In addition, CSAC worked with CWDA and CAPA to create an updated version of the IHSS Wages and Bargaining Brief (November 2021). This resource provides an overview of the tools and procedures related to IHSS wages, benefits, and collective bargaining that have been established in recent IHSS legislation. The updated version now includes information on the changes enacted by AB 135. Additional IHSS resources are available on the IHSS section of CSAC’s website, www.counties.org/ihss-moe.
