Register Now For Transportation Funding Conference in Sacramento
July 14, 2016
The Sacramento Area Council of Governments has partnered with
Transportation for America (T4A), a Washington D.C.-based
alliance of elected, business and civic leaders that advocates
for states and the federal government to invest in smart,
locally-driven transportation solutions, to host T4A’s second
“Capital Ideas” transportation funding conference in Sacramento
on November 16 and 17.
The organizers note that 23 states have passed new transportation funding measures since 2012, while an even smaller number have passed reforms to ensure that new funding is spent efficiently and in support of other policy goals. As California counties know all too well, a legislative package including both new revenues and accountability and reform measures has been elusive in our state. The Capital Ideas conference will provide a forum with an interactive curriculum of best practices, campaign tactics, innovative policies, and peer-to-peer collaboration to help state and local transportation funding initiatives succeed.
Conference details are available online here.
