REMINDER – UCLA Extension to Host 34th Annual Land Use Law and Planning Conference

UCLA Extension’s annual one-day Land Use Law and Planning Conference on Friday, January 24, 2020 will include a discussion of land use legislation, case law, and the emerging issues that frame land use and development practices in California.
The conference will offer a big picture view of land use law and planning practices, with knowledgeable speakers providing updates on key state and federal case law and legislation as well as practice pointers on basic land use law and planning issues. It will feature Kate Gordon, Director of the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, as keynote speaker. The conference will also include discussions on the California Environmental Quality Act, the Endangered Species Act, housing, auto fuel efficiency, and the land use implications of cannabis.
The conference is designed for individuals involved in land use and environmental issues in California, including:
- Public officials and planners
- Attorneys and consultants
- Developers and real estate professionals
- Students interested in planning and public policy
