State Controller Needs Committee Members
January 5, 2017
County supervisors and auditor-controllers have two new opportunities to serve on committees established under the State Controller’s Office (SCO) that help improve budgeting and tax regulations on behalf of local government.
First, there is an opening for a county supervisor on the Committee on County Tax Collecting Procedures, which meets quarterly by teleconference or in person and advises the SCO on policy development and tax levying matters.
Second, the Advisory Committee on County Accounting Procedures has two vacancies – one Supervisor and one Auditor-Controller – on the ten member committee that is responsible for reviewing and approving county accounting and budgeting procedures before they become regulation.
If interested, please contact Dorothy Johnson Holzem, CSAC Legislative Representative at firstname.lastname@example.org or (916) 650-8133. A resume or biography will be requested for transmission to the SCO by Monday, January 9 close of
