State Water Board to Adopt New Waters of the State Definition

The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) will hold a public meeting to consider adoption of proposed final amendments to both the Water Quality Control Plan for Ocean Waters of California (Ocean Plan), and the forthcoming Water Quality Control Plan for Inland Surface Waters, Enclosed Bays, and Estuaries of California (ISWEBE Plan).
These amendments will include a State Wetland Definition and Procedures for Discharges of Dredged or Fill Material to Waters of the State.
The vote to adopt the amendments is expected to take place February 5, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in the Coastal Hearing Room of the Joe Serna Jr. - CalEPA Headquarters Building in Sacramento.
Additionally, the State Water Board will hold public workshops in January to provide information and answer questions on the proposed amendments, proposed final staff report, and response to comments. For more information, click here.
