U.S. Treasury Official Joins NACo Webinar on CARES Act Investments
June 25, 2020
NACo is hosting a series of webinars that will focus on how counties are investing CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) dollars. In addition to county experts, Dan Kowalski with the U.S. Treasury will be a speaker on the first webinar to discuss recently released guidance on the CRF. Dan is tentatively scheduled to speak around 2 pm Eastern Time.
During the webinar, NACo will feature county experts, including Kern County Chief Operations Officer Jim Zervis, discussing their process for developing and implementing CRF plans to address the impacts of the COVID-10 pandemic. Additionally, NACo has also developed this document to demonstrate how counties are using the CRF to support small businesses and nonprofit organizations, and are allocating these dollars to municipalities that did not receive direct CRF payments from the U.S. Treasury.
Please note that this not a final document and NACo staff is still working to collect additional county CRF plan examples.
The webinar is on Friday, June 26 from 1:00pm – 2:30pm ET.
