The Aurrera Health Group in collaboration with the California
Health Care Foundation (CHCF) is hosting a webinar to present the
medical respite landscape in California. The webinar taking place
on June 9, 2021, from 12 – 1:15
p.m. PST, will incorporate the findings from a
respite care assessment completed in 2020.
The webinar will provide participants with an overview of medical
respite and how it is evolving as a strategy to serve unhoused
individuals; share results of the recent review of respite
providers; share perspectives from current providers on program
structure, challenges, and opportunities; and discuss upcoming
policy changes and considerations under the CalAIM Initiative’s
Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and In Lieu of Services (ILOS)
proposals, and their impact on medical respite services.
The webinar will feature a panel of experts in this area,
including:
Julia Dobbins, Director of Medical Respite Care, National
Health Care for the Homeless Council,
Jill Donnelly, Director of Medicaid Policy and Programs,
Aurrera Health Group,
Kelly Bruno, President and CEO, National Health Foundation,
and
Isaias Acosta, Program Director, Hospitality House.
