$5,475.60 – $6,656.00/month

Description:

The Accountant III in the Health Care Services Department will function as a division lead and should be able to provide advanced-level support to subordinate and programmatic staff to guide processes and ensure accurate financial reporting in a governmental setting.

Employees in the classifications of Accountant III who possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate issued by the national American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the license issued by the State Department of Consumer Affairs - Board of Accountancy shall receive a pay supplement of two percent (2%) of their base salary.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, accounting, economics, or a closely related field, including at least twelve semester units in accounting.
Experience: Three years of professional accounting experience.

OR

Education: Completion of 60 semester or equivalent quarter units from an accredited college or university including a minimum of 15 semester units or equivalent quarter units in accounting.
Experience: Five years of professional accounting experience.

AND

License: Possession of a valid California driver’s license if required by the nature of the assignment.
