$4,507.05 – $5,478.35/month

Description:

This examination is being given to fill one vacancy in the Community Development Department and to establish an eligible list to fill future vacancies. – Coordinates a program within the department; oversees the daily operation of the program, may develop programs, participate in grant preparation and coordinate staff development and training programs. – Confers with representatives of other County departments and other agencies on administrative, budgetary, management, personnel and purchasing issues. – May serve as department liaison to the public. Provides and explains complex regulations and policies; works with client to resolve problems of facilitate processes. – May coordinate purchasing activities and/or personnel transactions of the department. – Researches and analyzes department policies, laws, procedures and other administrative matters;prepares narrative, graphic and statistical reports; recommends alternative methods, policies and procedures. – Assists in preparing and administering the department budget; gathers, organizes tabulates and analyzes budgetary data; assists in directing fiscal control programs.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in public or business administration, personnel management or a closely related field. Experience: One year of experience in budgetary, systems, financial, personnel or other administrative analytical work. Substitution: Additional-qualifying experience may be substituted for required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.
