Bear Valley Community Services District is recruiting for an Administrative Services Director, a department head position, to plan, manage and direct comprehensive municipal finance, risk management, and information services.
Bear Valley Springs is a unique gated community located in the mountains of Kern County with miles of equestrian and hiking trails, wildlife and a rural atmosphere. The community enjoys a country club, community center, golf course, tennis courts, swimming pool, equestrian center, lakes, campgrounds, shooting range, open space and wilderness areas.
This position affords the opportunity to influence District business operations through projects including updates to ordinance code and policies; implementation of new technologies; and planning for the future. This will be an active and challenging position with opportunities to identify areas of improvement and implement best management practices. Succession planning for the next General Manager will create a unique opportunity for advancement for the right candidate within the next three years.
The ideal candidate will have significant management experience in more than one of the functional areas.
Minimum qualification include seven (7) years of broad, complex, and extensive experience in municipal financial management, administration, risk management, and/or information technology, with at least three (3) years in an administrative, management, or supervisorial capacity. Private sector experience may be considered.
