$8,473 – $10,301/Monthly*

Description:

The Adult Protective Services (APS) Section Manager will be responsible for overseeing five direct reports, including four Investigations Supervisors and one Program Development Manager, and providing oversight and direction to Social Services Supervisor II’s who supervise APS Social Service Worker IVs. They will interpret Welfare and Institution Codes and set new policy for the Adult Protective Services Division. This position is also responsible for working with management on large scale policy interpretation and implementation and making decisions in the best interest of the division. Additional duties include: • Interpreting and implementing recommendations from statewide committees • Responsibility for internal communications to ensure staff are informed of program changes • Managing the recruitment and hiring process • Managing and planning budgets for various internal programs • Attending community, regional, and statewide meetings representing the APS Division • Managing external communications and outreach with community partners

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field, will have significant experience in Adult Protective Services or in a program serving the elderly and dependent adults in their homes.
