Description:

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a solution-focused leader who is responsive to the needs of our community while remaining fiscally responsible with public funds. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated public agency experience working in financial operations, which include accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, and grant administration. The best suited candidate will possess knowledge and experience working with complex budgeting and grant administration related to public safety programs. The ideal candidate will also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to work with all levels of staff and government leaders.

Qualifications:

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, finance, economics, or closely related field; AND Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience over professional and technical staff working in a fiscal, financial, accounting, administrative, or auditing environment. Possession of a master’s degree is desirable.
