$103,875.20 – $155,833.60

Description:

This leadership position is responsible for the overall operation of the Agricultural Commissioner’s Office. This position is appointed by the Board of Supervisors to a four-year term and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Supervisors. This individual administers, directs and coordinates the activities of the office and carries out the objectives of the Board in providing services. This individual also plans, directs, and implements programs for enforcing local, State and Federal laws relating to agriculture and weights and measures.

Qualifications:

• Possession of valid licenses as both a County Agricultural Commissioner and as a County Sealer of Weights and Measures issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture; AND
• Four (4) years of experience in the enforcement of agricultural and weights and measures laws and regulations, at least two (2) of which include management or supervision; AND
• Possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License.
