Description:

The Agricultural/Weights and Measures Inspector IV is a senior position and works at a more experienced level in the Agricultural/Weights and Measures Inspector job series. The Agricultural/Weights and Measures Inspector IV independently perform the most difficult inspections and assignments in the enforcement of agricultural and weights and measures laws and regulations. The Agricultural/Weights and Measures Inspector IV is required to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills in assigned program while serving as lead workers.

Qualifications:

Experience:
Three years of professional experience performing agricultural and weights measures inspection work equivalent to work performed by a licensed County Agricultural/Weights and Measures Inspector III.

Education:
Graduation from a four-year college with major course work in agriculture or biological science, physics, chemistry, engineering, mathematics or related field. (Any person meeting the minimum qualifications for eligibility for the California Department of Food and Agriculture, County Agricultural Inspector/Biologist Licensing Examinations is deemed to meet the education requirement.)
