Approximate Monthly Salary: $8,581.68 to $10,433.04


There is an additional 3.35% management differential added to the posted salary. Assistant Clerk to the Board of Supervisors is designated as a “confidential” first level management class. Under general supervision, incumbents assist the Clerk of the Board in administration functions related to budget preparation, procurement, payroll, personnel, compliance, and facilities. On behalf of the Clerk incumbents support the County’s Board of Supervisors, Assessment Appeals Board, Planning Commission, Regional Sanitation Districts and approximately 36 other boards and commissions; managing over 2,500 filers pursuant to the Fair Political Practices Commission and conflict of interest codes of 110 special districts; and overseeing the membership and appointment of 580 plus members to boards and commissions.


Either: 1. Three years of full-time, paid experience as clerical support for a board or commission, one year of which must have been supervisory. Or: 2. Three years of full-time, paid experience in a public jurisdiction with responsibilities for staff development, budget development and monitoring, or development of policies and procedures. One year of this experience must have been supervisory.
