The Public Health Department (PHD) is seeking an Assistant Deputy Director of Administration. This is an at-will management position that reports to the Deputy Director of Administration and will be based in Santa Barbara. This position can either have a background in program administration, finance, compliance, or administration. This position will maintain operational oversight of the following business services to the Department of Public Health: Project Management, Grant Management, Contracts, Compliance, Safety and Facilities. The incumbent will monitor the effectiveness of these services through established performance metric, customer satisfaction surveys, and regular meetings with program managers and leaders.
In order to be considered for this position, you must possess 1. Bachelor’s Degree in business management, public administration, organizational management, health related field or closely related, AND 2. Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional experience, supervisory or project management responsibilities with experience in innovative change and fiscal responsibility. 3. A combination of training, education, and experience that is equal to all the qualifications listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities listed here.
