$73,797 – $90,351 / Annually
Under general direction, assists the County Clerk-Recorder in the planning, organizing, directing and managing of election activities in the Registrar of Voters division of the County Clerk’s Office; assists in the development of departmental policies and procedures; serve as a liaison with County departments, state and local agencies, and the public; and act on behalf of the County Clerk-Recorder.
These standards are typically attained with a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration (or related field) and five years increasing responsible experience in elections administration or other form of program administration, including lead or supervisory responsibilities in an environment with similar functions, or any combination of education and experience with equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession of the California Professional Election Administrator Credential (CalPEAC) administered by the California Association of Clerks and Election Officials (CACEO); OR possession of the Certified Elections/Registration Administrator (CERA) certification from the National Elections Center may be substituted for one year of the required education.
