$8,679 – $10,481 / Month

Description:

Will perform professional civil engineering work and serve as working supervisors or project leaders within an assigned area. The ACE takes an active role in performance management, coaching and staff/team development. Current openings are in Engineering and Land Development. Within Engineering, the ACE will serve as project leader/working supervisor for up to five in-house technical employees on assignments requiring considerable professional knowledge of engineering design principles for roadway and other infrastructure projects. Within Land Development, the ACE will manage/review the day-to-day operations of the division including review and approval of trip transportation, film, creek, grading, building and encroachment permits.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities; foster teamwork and a positive work environment; knowledge in the principles and practices of civil engineering and engineering related to area of assignment, public works design, municipal codes and construction methods; training or experience working on and managing related projects; effective oral and written communicator to represent the County in meetings/presentations to various groups, including community groups, regulatory and other governmental agencies and general public; customer-focused and interpersonally effective in dealing with staff, county departments, engineers, contractors and the public; ability to analyze/evaluate alternatives, make sound recommendations and prepare effective technical staff reports.
