Description:

The County of Nevada, California, located in the scenic Sierra foothills, seeks an Associate Civil Engineer/Assistant Engineer to plan, direct and supervise a major engineering functional activity within a County Department; and supervise and personally perform professional civil engineering work relating to public works. Duties include performing professional office and field engineering work in connection with the location, design and construction of public works projects related to buildings, roads, drainage, water, sanitation, solid waste facilities and other structures and projects.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include (Assoc.) a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and two years of professional engineering experience at a level equivalent to Nevada County Assistant Engineer. Also requires possession of a valid California Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers. (Asst.) requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering.
