The County of San Diego invites résumés for the position of Associate Director, Behavioral Health Services (Actual title: Director, Departmental Operations, Behavioral Health Services). The Associate Director, Behavioral Health Services is a newly added executive management position that reports to the Director, Behavioral Health Services. This position is responsible for managing the overall activities of the department, formulating and administering Countywide policy, and for representing and acting in the absence of the Director.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or a certified foreign studies equivalency AND five (5) years of management-level experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the classification. Experience must include at least one (1) year of supervision. A master’s degree or higher may substitute for a total of one year of experience and cannot be applied to the required one year of supervisory experience. A master’s degree is highly desirable.
