Description:

Amador County Behavioral Health Department encourages interested candidates to apply for the Behavioral Health Clinician I/II position.
Under direction performs a range of therapeutic assignments related to behavioral health services, including intake and assessment, the design and implementation of personalized treatment plans, and psychotherapy for adults, children and/or senior citizens, as applicable by professional licensing law, in order to meet the needs of consumers and/or families with mental or substance abuse/addition disorders; and are assigned other work, as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of assessment and treatment of adults/children with severe mental illness and children with emotional disturbance. Experience with performing a range of therapeutic services including crisis, intake, assessment, treatment plans and psychotherapy. Includes working on the crisis intervention team that includes occasional on-call rotation of after-hours coverage. Ability to work nights/weekends and some holidays for on-call crisis. Must have Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling and have current registration or licensure with the California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
