Join the City of Fresno’s, Personnel Services Department. This dynamic team is seeking an individual with exceptional managerial and leadership skills to oversee benefits administration for the City. The Benefits Manager will be an innovative changemaker responsible for modernizing, enhancing and managing the City’s benefit program, while building a team to deliver benefit services through networking and relationship development with strategic partners. The ideal candidate will be a creative visionary who will continually find new ways to improve benefit services and will serve as a strategic thought leader by identifying employee needs and recommending cost-efficient benefits while complying with legal requirements.
Four years of progressively responsible analytical experience in benefit programs, preferably with a public agency, including or supplemented by two years at the supervisory level; and a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Resources, Business or Public Administration, Political Science, or related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two years. Possession of a valid California Driver’s License is required at time of appointment.
