The Monterey County Auditor-Controller seeks a results oriented professional to manage, plan, organize and direct the work of the department’s Internal Audit Division. The incumbent must represent the Auditor-Controller’s Office with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
The Auditor-Controller is an elected official who provides the County of Monterey with financial leadership and expert advice on a wide range of fiscal matters, and advocates financial integrity and accountability in all County business practices.

Qualifications:

EXAMPLES OF EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING

Education: Equivalent to completion of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Management, Finance, Economics, Public Administration or a closely related field with course work in accounting, finance and business administration.

Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible professional accounting or auditing experience that includes one year of experience as a supervisor.

Highly Desired: Possession of a California CPA License
