Description:

The Chief Executive Officer for Valley Health Plan is responsible for the management and operation of the County Health Maintenance Organization dba Valley Health Plan. The incumbent leads the development and implementation of managed care systems, health care delivery networks, products, strategies, and infrastructure to insure the successful and financially sound operation of the Health Plan.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates would typically possess a Bachelor’s degree Health Care Administration, Business/Public Administration or a closely related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable. Five to seven years of substantial managed care program or related experience where recent management responsibility and financial accountability was held, preferably in a managed care delivery system or operation integrated inpatient and clinical system program dealing with at least some of the following coverage and insurance products: Uninsured, Medicaid, Commercial and Medicare. Experience with managing operations over a large geographic area with a wide variety of providers including a large public teaching hospital is preferred.
