$109,644.34 – $133,273.38 Annually

Description:

The Chief Mental Health Clinician is responsible for the management of a specific comprehensive program in the Behavioral Health Services Department which will include preparation and monitoring of a program budget, providing guidance and supervision to professional, para-professional and support staff in delivering mental health services to the residents of San Joaquin County.

Qualifications:

EITHER PATTERN I Special Requirement: Must possess and maintain a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. OR PATTERN II Special Requirement: Must possess and maintain a valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology. FOR BOTH PATTERN Education: Graduation from an accredited university with a master’s or doctorate degree in social work, counseling, psychology or other course of study acceptable to the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences towards licensure as a LCSW, MFT, LPCC, or Psychologist. Experience: Two years of progressively responsible licensed casework experience as an LCSW, MFT, LPCC or Psychologist, which included counseling or therapy in a clinical or treatment setting and also included one year of supervisory experience. AND License: Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
