$143,729.00 – $244,878.00 Annually

Description:

The County of Riverside is seeking a highly experienced criminal justice executive to serve as the Chief Probation Officer. The incumbent will occupy a key role on the County Executive Team and will be the leader of the Probation Department, a diverse criminal justice agency. The Chief Probation Officer is appointed by the presiding judge, following a recommendation from a selection committee made up of Court and County officials and the nomination of the Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Commission.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree, a graduate degree are highly preferred.

Experience: Five years of administrative experience in a county probation department or similar correctional agency, that has included program planning and evaluation, and fiscal administration. Experience functioning in an executive capacity in a probation or similar correctional agency within the State of California is highly preferred.
