Description:

Find yourself at home in Hollister. The City of Hollister, California seeks an experienced local government manager familiar with running a full-service city. Hollister, located approximately 50 miles south of San Jose, has a population of about 40,000. In additional to traditional municipal services such as water, police, and community development, Hollister provides fire protection countywide. The City Manager reports to a five-member Council. Four seats on the council are elected by district and the mayor is elected at-large every two years.

Qualifications:

Strong candidates will have a background in land use and development, particularly the ability to balance development needs with citizen desires. Experience in stakeholder outreach, environmental permitting, and long-term planning are critical. This successful candidate will have a strong background in council relations.
