Description:

Placer County’s Department of Public Works has a current vacancy for a full-time Civil Engineer – Associate at the Western Placer Waste Management Authority (WPWMA) located in Roseville, CA. The candidate would be responsible for monitoring construction and operations contracts, conceptualizing, designing, planning, and permitting any capital improvements required to ensure regulatory compliance and service for customers at the WPWMA’s regional materials recovery facility, composting facility and sanitary landfill.

Qualifications:

Experience: Two years of responsible professional engineering experience performing duties similar to an Assistant Engineer with Placer County.

Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.

License or Certificate

•Possession of a Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer in an appropriate discipline as issued by the State of California.

•May need to possess a valid driver’s license as required depending on the position. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
