Salary:

$93,350.40 – $116,584.00/year Salary plus additional $875 per month Tahoe Branch Assignment Premium for employees who meet req.

Description:

The engineer will perform engineering work in the provision of the Tahoe Engineering Division office related to public infrastructure projects (roadway transportation, roundabouts, bridges, storm water drainage, recreational trails, parking lots, and wetland restoration). They will direct consultant teams and review project plans and specifications for compliance with codes, standards and county objectives. The ideal candidate must have familiarity and working knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD. Additional skills are required to lead and manage projects including community engagement, environmental regulation oversight, budgeting, work coordination, scheduling, planning, design and construction management.

Qualifications:

Experience: Two years of responsible professional engineering experience performing duties similar to an Assistant Engineer with Placer County.

Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.

License or Certificate

•Possession of a Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer in an appropriate discipline as issued by the State of California.

•May need to possess a valid driver’s license as required depending on the position. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
