Under direct supervision, employees in this class plan, coordinate and promote various County programs on a county wide or regional basis; increase or maintain membership in community coalitions; assist in providing educational services and presentations to the community; prepare and distribute information flyers, posters and other public relations materials; perform related work as required. This class requires responsibility for planning, coordinating and promoting various health and human services programs. This position develops, coordinates, and promotes various programs, assists in educational and public relations components of community programs, and assists in the maintenance and reporting of fiscal and administrative program records.
The successful candidate would possess a combination of related education and experience in accounting/auditing/management. • High School Education • Bachelor’s degree in related field • Associate degree in business or related field or substantial amount of college courses completed with classes in related subjects • Substantial related work experience with progressive advancement • Continuing education n addition, the successful candidate should possess the following knowledge and special skills: • Principles and practices of human services and public administration • Principles of operations, policies and procedures of county government • Functions, organization and basic services provided by county operations • Principles and practices of group dynamics and community outreach • Applicable laws, codes and regulations • Computer applications related to the work • Interviewing techniques • Record management principles and practices • Techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals, at all levels of responsibility • Correct English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation • Proficiency
