Contract and Procurement Manager $7,172 – $8,718/Monthly* The General Services Department seeks an experienced purchasing professional to become a Contract and Procurement Manager Starting salary up to $50.13/hour ($104,627/year) plus a cash allowance of approximately $600/month, and a competitive total compensation package* The ideal candidate will possess supervisory experience and be a customer-centric, dedicated purchasing manager with the ability to support a wide array of goods, services, and construction activities in difficult and specialized commodity areas.

Qualifications:

Additionally, they will be: • An excellent communicator, who interacts effectively with staff, department liaisons, and vendors • Well-versed in conducting requests for proposals and requests for information and in drafting specification and solicitation documents • Superb contract management skills including formatting and administering contracts • A seasoned negotiator, able to procure the best price and terms available in the market • An experienced trainer, helping users to fully utilize an automated purchasing system • A professional procurement manager, certified as a Certified Professional Supply Manager (CPSM), Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO), National Institute of Government Purchasing – Certified Procurement Professional (NIGP-CPP), or equivalent
