Description:

Bring your public relations and community engagement experience to the County Administrator’s dynamic communications team. Starting salary up to $50.02/hour ($104,397/year), a cash allowance of $600/month, and a competitive total compensation package!* Guided by the Board of Supervisor’ mission and policy objectives, the Communications Division of the County Administrator’s Office develops and implements cohesive, county-wide strategic outreach and engagement plans. When you become a County Communication Specialist, you will work with various departments and agencies to develop accurate and relevant information and materials that will increase the public’s awareness of County services, successes, and accomplishments. You will also research and analyze issues, develop alternative solutions and strategies, and implement comprehensive media and public relations programs to address concerns.

Qualifications:

• Conduct professional communications, media, and outreach-related activities, including those involving organizational branding, content for social media and official County websites, and other graphics and/or audio/visual projects • Ensure the content of public information communications and related materials are consistent with the County’s standard of quality and cultural competence, design, accuracy, and translation requirements • Keep the County Administrator, Board of Supervisors, County departments/agencies, and the community informed of assigned departmental activities
