The County Probation Officer serves at the pleasure of the Judges of the Madera Superior Court and is charged with ensuring that the functions and programs of the Probation Department are performed in a manner that serves and protects Madera County.

Qualifications:

Equivalent to a BA/BS degree in Criminology, Psychology or a related behavioral or social science field; 7 years of professional experience in adult and juvenile probation work, including 3 years of management and supervisory experience; completion of PC 832 with firearms and chemical weaponry training; completion of Probation Officer Basic Academy and Administration Core Course; and possession of a valid driver’s license.
