$90,896.00 – $110,489.60 Annually

Description:

This is an at-will position; exempt from Civil Service. Under general direction, assists the Air Pollution Control Officer in the administration and coordination of the work in the department. Plans, organizes, coordinate and directs the ambient air quality management program for the Air Quality Management District. In the absence of the APCO, will serve as acting APCO, and performs related work as required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, from an accredited college or university in university in a technical discipline, or a related field; and, three or more years of progressively responsible experience, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity; or, any combination of education, training and experience equaling a total 7 years, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Desirable: Possession of, or ability to obtain a Visible Emissions Evaluator Certificate within 12 months from date of appointment. Completion of Advanced Enforcement Training through the California Air Resources Board and/or Federal EPA within twelve (12) months of employment Licenses and Certifications: Valid Driver License
