The County of El Dorado’s Office of the County Counsel is seeking attorneys with at least 5 years of legal experience to join our collegial office of twelve attorneys and five staff who are all committed to providing the highest quality public service while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The successful candidate will have an excellent academic background, exceptional research and writing skills, and superb communication skills. The attorney chosen will be adept at creative, strategic problem solving and will have the desire to assume responsibility and work cooperatively on a wide variety of complex, fast moving projects.
Education and Experience: A Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from an accredited law school; AND Five (5) years of journey-level professional legal experience, preferably in a local government agency such as a county or city government setting. Licenses and Certifications: Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, a valid California or Nevada Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record. Possession of an active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
