Description:

The Deputy Director of CSS will serve as a member of an executive management team to plan, develop and implement department priorities and formulate broad policy and goals consistent with the CSS mission; communicate and adapt the CSS vision and goals to leaders and staff within their division chain of command. Lead efforts with subordinate managers to plan, organize, implement and monitor projects to increase performance and meet operational goals, adopt and monitor quality control measures, customer education and customer satisfaction measurement programs, expand CSS’ visibility in the community, and develop CSS’ workforce.

Qualifications:

Must possess the competencies, performance/professional attributes, minimum qualifications and physical/mental requirements as required in the County of Orange Administrative Manager series. In addition, the ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with at least five years or more of progressive managerial experience who has directed/managed programs and/or related operations; mentoring and leading managers of different levels including senior-level managers; high-energy with strong leadership skills, interpersonal and communication capabilities; extensive experience directing/working with complex administrative organizations and management of staff; ability to articulate a vision for future program goals; and experience in strategic planning.
