Description:

The County of Los Angeles seeks a Deputy Director, Housing & Tenant Protections for the Department of Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA) who will be responsible for enforcing Rent Stabilization, Mobile Home Park Rent Regulations, and Eviction Defense & Prevention for residents in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. The programs will ensure the County ordinances are enforced and ensure park owners, mobile home owners, tenants, and landlords are informed of their rights and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration or Political Science AND five (5) years of experience in program and policy development, senior level management and administration in a governmental agency or other organization; three (3) or more years must have included the supervision of professional and support staff and two (2) or more years manager level experience working in at least two of the following program areas: fair housing; rent stabilization; landlord‐tenant relations; code enforcement; homelessness prevention; affordable housing.
