Description:

Kings County Human Services Agency is seeking a Deputy Director, Human Services to oversee the Agency’s Administrative Division. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating a large staff engaged in multiple operations including: fiscal processing and financial management of the agency; special investigations of benefits and welfare fraud; overpayment collections and appeals of benefit services; and whole person care program. This position also oversees several programs internal to the agency including: desktop support and licensed program support; data reporting; and facilities management. This position is an At-Will position that serves at the pleasure of the Human Services Director.

Qualifications:

Graduation from accredited four year college with a bachelor’s degree in social science, business, public administration or a closely related field.
Three years of management level experience in a social service, eligibility, employment and training, administrative services, fiscal, staff support division or special investigations program in a California County Human Services Agency, Job Training Office, Health Department, Behavioral Health Department; or other relevant California County or large public agency or department; OR Three (3) years management/professional level experience in a personnel department in a county or large public agency.
