Description:

The Deputy District Attorney assists the District Attorney in providing legal advice and service in prosecuting violations of criminal and/or civil matters.This is the entry to intermediate level class in the Deputy District Attorney series.

Qualifications:

Ed: A Juris Doctorate; Lic: Active CA State Bar Assoc; valid CA driver’s license; Exp: DDA I: No exp. req; DDA II: Min. 1 yr crim prosecution & trial exp. as Dpty DA I or equiv, 3 yrs exp. in gen practice of law subs 1 yr crim law exp. DDA III: Min 1 yr of crim prosecution & trial exp as Dpty DA II or equiv (total of 2 yrs crim prosecution & trial exp as Dpty DA) 4 yrs exp general practice of law subs for 2 yrs criminal law exp.
