Description:

League seeks well qualified candidates for the Deputy Executive Director, Advocacy & Public Affairs position.

LCC is the statewide, nonpartisan association of cities, with main office in Sacramento & 16 regional offices. LCC represents its 477 member cities at the State Legislature, in the executive branch, in ballot measure campaigns, in the courts, & on federal issues with the National League of Cities; & provides other services.

The Deputy Director is appointed by the Executive Director; leads a staff of 28; & directs LCC’s state & federal advocacy programs, the policy development process & public affairs program, including regional staff.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, and a minimum 10 years of relevant direct experience with public policy advocacy, public affairs, intergovernmental issues, and demonstrated management and supervisory skills. Master’s or Law degree, and experience in CA and with membership associations preferred.
